Grandma’s Secret? Dioxin!

It came as a surprise to the Um editorial staff that it’s taken us more than three months to get around to writing about food. Maybe this is an echo of our recent commitment to healthier living? (Do we get bonus points for mentioning such a thing in these annals?)

Anyway.  We’re kind of glad that providence has seen fit to ensure that we wait until right now to offer you dear readers a  grub-related item. Why, you ask? Because a moment sooner or later and we would have been unable to so-deflower ourselves with this. According to the BBC, “[s]ales of mozzarella cheese made from buffalo milk” were “hit by a contamination scare” after it was discovered that “[t]he animals grazed on land where toxic industrial waste may have been illegally dumped by criminals.” The report goes on to note that that area’s branch of the “Mafia–called the Camorra – have been making huge profits by dumping toxic waste in the region.”

Is this maybe how these hold their perfectly round shape?
